How Do I Calculate Hours Between Two Times?

To calculate hours between two times, enter the starting time and ending time into the calculator. The tool automatically subtracts the start time from the end time and displays the total number of hours and minutes between them. This is especially helpful for work shifts, event planning, and tracking time spent on activities.

Duration = End Time − Start Time → Hours : Minutes : Seconds

For example, if you start work at 09:00 and finish at 17:30, the duration is 8 hours 30 minutes.

Yes, our time duration calculator includes a Business Days mode. When enabled, weekends (and optionally your chosen non‑working days) are excluded from the calculation, providing a more accurate count of working days.
